I’m Hanz Radlein, a luxury real estate advisor with Compass in Newport Beach. I’ve worked in real estate since 2014, helping buyers and sellers along the coast from Laguna Beach and Dana Point to Newport Beach and Newport Coast. I’ve closed over $120 million in coastal real estate, and several of those homes have topped $10 million.
I started out in marketing, where I learned to read a market and get a product in front of the right audience. After moving to Southern California, I helped grow a consumer electronics and accessories company, working on its culture, its global reach and its customer service. I came to real estate through two things I’ve always cared about: architecture and people.
Two sales come to mind. The oldest home I’ve sold was more than 100 years old when it closed. Built in 1916, it’s an oceanfront house in North Laguna Beach on Crescent Bay, and I represented the sellers when it sold for $10.35 million. The newest was brand new when I sold it. It’s in The Strand at Headlands, a gated oceanfront community in Dana Point, on a bluff above the Pacific with views out to Catalina. I represented the seller there too, and it closed at $18 million. One had a century of history and the other was just getting started.
A lot of deals along this stretch of coast happen quietly. My clients, whether they live down the street or are relocating from overseas, tend to want privacy and a straight answer. I help each one decide how public a sale should be, and I protect their information either way.
